ABOUT OUR PIANO LESSONS

Our piano teachers teach a variety of styles, from classical to popular music. Whether you want to learn Bach or Alicia Keys, our teachers are happy to help you become the pianist you want to be and to share their love of music with you. We have so many piano teachers on staff that we are able to match students with a teacher that works best with their particular age, ability, and interest. We start piano lessons as young as 5 years old.

Our piano faculty will show you the fundamentals of sight reading, technique, and theory, but they will also incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons. For our more advanced students, we have teachers with master's and doctorate degrees who can prepare students for competitions or college auditions.

AT WHAT AGE CAN MY CHILD START PIANO LESSONS?

Our piano lessons start as young as five years old. If your child is younger than five years old, please contact the office for more information on how to see if your child is ready to start private lessons.

DO YOU ACCEPT ADULT STUDENTS?

Yes, no matter how old you are or how much experience you have, we would be happy to help you learn and grow your piano playing skills and knowledge.

DO I NEED TO HAVE OR PURCHASE A PIANO OR KEYBOARD BEFORE MY FIRST LESSON?

No, we suggest waiting until your first lesson before purchasing a piano or keyboard. Your teacher may have a recommendation on what to purchase after meeting them during your first class. Purchasing a piano or keyboard is an investment and it is best to talk to your teacher before buying one.

I HAVE A PIANO OR KEYBOARD, HOW DO I KNOW IF IT IS OKAY TO USE?

Typically we recommend that students have an acoustic piano, or a keyboard with 88 full-sized weighted keys, a sustain pedal and an adjustable height bench.
